Certified professional geologist, and hydrogeologist with a background that includes soil and groundwater remedial investigations at Superfund sites, will give a presentation on an environmental investigation of six freshwater ponds in the Town of Southampton. The investigation has included routine water analysis for harmful algal blooms, nutrient concentrations, and other chemical characteristics of the ponds. Learn why he initiated the investigation as a Citizen Science project, what he has learned, what he plans to do next, and about opportunities for the public to get involved as Citizen Scientists and help with field observations and water sampling.
