Event Details

Do you love reading? Do you have a competitive spirit? Then join our team for this year’s Battle of the Books! We will read six books, practice book trivia, have weekly meetings, and then compete against other Suffolk County Libraries in August for the title of Battle Champions!

 If interested, please attend the Battle Information Session drop in  on Thursday, May 1 from 3:15-4:30pm. At this session, you will get copies of the books to keep, meet your teammates, and get important Battle information. 

Meetings will be Wednesdays, May 28 - July 30  from 4:30-6:30pm. The official Battle is on Friday, August 1 from 5:00-9:00pm. Books read for Battle will count toward the Summer Reading Club. 

Battle of the Books is for Teens entering grades 6-9 only.
