Thursday, June 18 at 7:00pm. According to the CDC, each year approximately 800,000 people in the US experience a stroke, with one person passing from stroke every four minutes. When stroke occurs, every second counts and you have only 60 minutes to react. With proper action, risks can be minimized. During this program, Donna Lyburt, MSN, RN, Peconic Bay Medical Center’s Stroke Coordinator, will focus on what you need to know about stroke including symptoms and pioneering treatment. Attendees will be provided with resources and information to guide them should a stroke occur.
