Sunday, March 10 at 1:30pm. Historian and former Newsday staff writer Bill Bleyer will offer highlights of his latest book, “Long Island and the Sea: A Maritime History,” the first complete maritime history of Long Island, to be published by The History Press on April 8. He will discuss the development of submarines and torpedoes, the landing of Pan Am Clippers in Port Washington, the world’s most innovative whaling captain, and more.

Program to be held at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church.
