Event Details

Sunday, February 9 from 1:30 - 3:30pm.

Join Julie Greene, Southampton Town Historian, in exploring Southampton’s notable graveyard inhabitants who were the heroes and heroines of yesterday, early war veterans, sea captains, freed enslaved people and everyday men and women. Their remarkable stories are recorded on historic headstones, tablets or monuments which were made of sandstone, slate, marble or granite. As you will learn by exploring their individual gravesites, each person made a unique mark on the history of our Town.
