Saturday, January 22 at 2:00pm.

Thirty-five years after the reactor accident, Stephen Quandt took part in a spay/ neuter and research campaign for dogs that were descended from those that remained immediately after the accident. He met the inhabitants of the mostly abandoned town of Chernobyl City and the abandoned town of Pripyat. A rare look at Chernobyl, the dogs (and people) who continue to live there is at times scary, poignant and hopeful. This is a story of resilience, hope, life and heroism. Q & A to follow.

An East End Libraries event hosted with North Shore Public Library.
