Amy Folk’s reconstruction of the 1854 murder of a wealthy Cutchogue farmer and his wife by a vengeful farmhand may call to mind Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood. But in this case, the intended victim escaped, while others died. What really happened that June night in 1854? Folk, who co-authored Murder on Long Island with Gregory Fleming, is the Southold Town Historian and the Archivist and Curator for Southold Historic society. Join us as she discusses the events of this chilling true crime.
