The Long Island Reads Selection Award winner is Better Living Through Birding: Notes from a Black Man in the Natural World by author, editor, and Nat Geo host Christian Cooper.
Long Island Reads will honor Christian Cooper at a ceremony at the Plainview - Old Bethpage Public Library on April 21 at 2:00pm. Free tickets will be available beginning April 1 by going to LongIslandReads.wordpress.com.
