Saturday, September 21 at 1:00pm. The Suffolk County Department of Health Services manages a robust NY State Department of Health-approved Opioid Overdose Prevention Program, aimed at reducing the number of fatal opioid overdoses within Suffolk County. The Overdose Prevention training offered through the Suffolk County Department of Health Opioid Overdose Prevention Program will enable participants to recognize an opioid overdose, administer intranasal naloxone, better known as Narcan™️, and take additional time-dependent steps while Emergency Medical Service teams are in transit. Participants will receive a certificate of completion and an emergency resuscitation kit that
includes the intranasal Narcan™️.
