Event Details

Tuesday September 22 at 6:00pm. What makes the days shorter and the nights longer? What's the astronomical reason for the coolness in the air? In this free virtual (Zoom) event, we will explore the science of the sun and seasons, and also discuss the constellations, planets and other celestial objects that are visible in the fall sky.

Hamptons Observatory's Senior Educator, William Francis Taylor, has been a NASA/JPL Solar System Ambassador since 2014, lecturing about the universe around us and sharing his love of the heavens and giving guided tours of the sky through telescopes. He is a local tutor and a life-long East End resident.

Hamptons Observatory thanks the Quogue Wildlife Refuge for their kind collaboration, and William Francis Taylor for sharing his expertise.
