Enduring the British Occupation and Protecting the Family Homesteads: The Women of Southampton During the Revolutionary War

Join us for our winter lecture series on the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Town Historian Julie Greene will launch the series with a lecture on the essential roles of women, who formed the backbone of the revolutionary war effort as nurses, homemakers, camp followers, and in other important roles.

Westhampton Free Library strives to create respectful and family-friendly experiences.  We ask that all participants in library programs be mindful and polite.  Guests who are disruptive, engage in bullying, or otherwise do not conduct themselves in a respectful manner in accordance with the Library's Maintenance of Public Order at Library Facilities and Rules for Use of the Library policies, may be removed. We thank you in advance for your courtesy.
