The Tenement Museum: The Wong Family (Zoom Virtual Event)
Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 PM

The Tenement Museum invites you to the 1970s tenement home of a Chinese American family, the Wongs, at 103 Orchard Street on the Lower East Side in New York. Explore their apartment and the recreated garment shop, learn about their neighborhood and how their experiences reflect the growth of Chinese communities as well as the garment industry in New York - all in the context of the history of the Chinese Exclusion Act and subsequent immigration laws.
