By some accounts, more than 100 ships have gone down around Long Island, from the HMS Culloden during the American Revolution to the steamship Lexington in 1840 to the tugboat Gwendoline Steers in a 1962 winter storm.

Join historian, author and retired Pulitzer-prize winning Newsday reporter Bill Bleyer for a closer look at this compelling chapter in Long Island history.
