This year is the 200th anniversary of the publication of the now-classic Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus by 19-year-old Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley. Librarian Gary Lutz will discuss the origins and early evolution of the various portrayals and interpretations in literature and film of this story of man and monster, and the questions it raises about what makes us human.
