Do you know someone who can no longer eat meat?  Allergist Erin McGintee, MD of ENT and Allergy Associates, and a member of the Medical Advisory Panel of Stony Brook Southampton Hospital’s Regional Tick-Borne Disease Resource Center, will talk about the Alpha-gal meat allergy, which is caused by a bite from the Lone Star tick. Dr. McGintee, who has treated over 500 East End residents for this allergy, is considered the regional expert in the field, having been interviewed about Alpha-gal by the Associated Press, New York City television stations, Sirius/XM Satellite Radio, and even the BBC.

An East End Libraries Event hosted by Westhampton Free Library.
