Wednesday, November 18 at 6:00pm. Midwives are part of the history of almost every culture. The Western term midwife derives from the Old English mid (with) and wif (woman) and originally meant with- woman, or the person who is with the woman (mother) at childbirth. Today, 7.8 percent of all hospital-born American babies are delivered by a midwife. Susan Campos, midwife intern, takes a look at the fascinating evolution of the role of midwives and their part in the modern world.
Registration is free and required to receive the Zoom meeting I.D. and password.
