Thursday, May 16 at 7:00pm. According to the CDC, each year approximately 800,000 people in the US experience a stroke, with 1 stroke fatalities every 4 minutes. When stroke occurs, every second counts and you have only 60 minutes to take proper action and minimize the risk. During this program, Peconic Bay Medical Center’s medical experts will focus on what you need to know about stroke, cardiac health and the importance of pharmacology, including risk factors and vital signs, symptoms and pioneering treatment. Attendees will be provided with resources and information to guide them should a cardiac incident or stroke occur.
Program to be held at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 40 Main Street, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978.
