Thursday, November 15 at 7:00pm (check with Library to confirm location). According to the CDC, each year approximately 800,000 people in the US experience a stroke with one death from stroke every 4 minutes. When stroke occurs, every second counts and you have only 60 minutes to react. With proper action, risks can be minimized. During this program, Peconic Bay Medical Center’s experts will focus on what you need to know about stroke, cardiac health and the importance of pharmacology, including risk factors and vital signs, symptoms and pioneering treatment. Attendees will be provided with resources and information to guide them should a cardiac incident or stroke occur.
