Endometriosis, a medical condition which causes painful cramps, heavy or irregular cycles, and which sometimes can affect fertility, impacts up to an estimated 10% of women between the ages of 15 and 45.  Dr. Jennifer. M. Blaber, a minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon and Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stony Brook Medicine, explains the possible causes, risk factors, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options.
