Event Details

Friday, October 12 at 12:00pm. Asthma, a chronic lung disorder that causes swelling and inflammation in the lungs, is common in children, but adults can also develop it later in life. Both have the same symptoms and treatments, but children face difficult challenges. Hema Dalal, MD, board-certified in Allergy and Immunology at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, will discuss proper diagnosis and treatment to control symptoms, especially important in children, whose lung growth can be affected by some medications. Adults will need to manage their symptoms so that they don’t experience a decline in lung function as they age.

This program will be held at the Parish Hall of St. Mark's Episcopal Church (40 Main Street, WHB).

Registration required.
