In this monthly discussion group, we focus on a different podcast each month, diving into our favorite episodes, discussing what we’ve learned and finding podcasts for further listening.
March’s Podcast Pick: The #Herstory Podcast
The #Herstory Podcast features 50 inspiring stories of historical women who laid the foundation for contemporary female academics, filmmakers, elected officials, activists and more! In celebration of Women’s History Month, patrons are invited to choose at least two episodes of the podcast to learn about what drove these women to become the inspirations they are today. Participants can listen to this podcast for free on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Stitcher and at herstory.chickhistory.org.
April’s Podcast Pick: The New Yorker: Poetry
The New Yorker: Poetry is a monthly podcast where host and New Yorker magazine’s poetry editor, Kevin Young invites a fellow poet to recite a piece of work which they find meaningful as well as a poem of their own, followed by an intimate discussion about each poem. To celebrate National Poetry Month, participants are encouraged to choose at least two episodes of the podcast to hear from a favorite poet or discover a new one! Participants can listen to this podcast for free on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, and at newyorker.com/podcast/poetry.
